Summary/Primary Purpose: Coordinate all aspects of the Health Services Department through collaboration with parents, staff and community providers to ensure optimal health, nutrition, vision, and dental services are provided to pregnant women, infants, and children enrolled in the Early Head Start Program. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of health, safety, nutrition and prenatal Federal Head Start Performance Standards including Nebraska's EPSDT program requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Education and/or Experience: Bachelors of Science in Nursing and two years' experience required. Knowledge of health and nutrition for infants, toddlers and pregnant women is required. Management experience preferred. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must be able to pass medical examination and Tuberculosis test. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Currently licensed RN and able to practice in the state of Nebraska required. Obtain certification in First Aid, CPR and CPI within 3 months of hire.
