Summary

Summary:
The Certified Exercise Physiologist role is responsible for interviewing and assessing patient's schedules for stress testing. Performs and is responsible for treadmill and pharmacological stress testing and provides preliminary interpretation and report of rest and stress EKG's.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or other CoAES accredited degree program required. 2. License/Certifications: Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-CEP certification) required. Current BLS Certification required. Current ACLS Certification or must obtain within three months of start date. A minimum of 200 supervised tests must be performed under the immediate direction of a current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant prior to performing stress tests unaccompanied. 3. Experience: One year of clinical or exercise physiology related experience, training and/or education required. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5.
