Summary:
The Cardiac Exercise Instructor role guides classes in proper exercise form adjusting the workout format and intensity to the individuals in the group. Works under the supervision of the Exercise Physiologist and in collaboration with the RN to gather/document data used to evaluate tolerance and progress.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, or related field, current enrollment in one of these areas of study, or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 2. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Current ACLS preferred or ACLS Course Audit required. 3. Experience: Two years of exercise leadership preferred. Personal exercise experience required. Cardiac rhythm interpretation and monitoring experienced required. Clinical experience with special populations and expertise required. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Computer and EMR skills
