Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) is required

Interested in providing behavioral health care connected to a primary care setting? We are recruiting for a unique role as a Behavioral Health Clinician caring for patients followed by our psychiatric department, MaineHealth Behavioral Health Primary Care Farmington. This role will enhance the overall care of patients and will increase access.

We currently have an opportunity for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), who has interest, training and/or experience integrating behavioral health services into primary or specialty care settings. This position is a 32-hour position with benefits.

As a behavioral health clinician in this setting your role would include, providing screening, assessments, and focused treatment to patients of the practice and hospital system. Treatment structures include individual, family, and group work offered in-person and/or virtually through telehealth. Additional functions will include patient outreach following Emergency Department crisis visits.

The work is enhanced by being part of a larger medical/specialty team with solid experience in integrated work, including collaboration with psychiatrists and other integrated clinicians in the MaineHealth system. Individual supervision, psychiatry consultation, group supervision, and quarterly trainings are added benefits of this positions.

This position will be a generalistMaster's Level mental health Clinician with interest, training and/or experience integrating mental health services into the primary care setting. This position will be placed in primary care practices, work with adults, families and children; and provide assessment, screening, and referral services. Additionally, brief individual therapy, prevention and educational services will be provided and include collaborative work with primary care physicians and their office staff, psychiatrists and other behavioral health providers.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Master's Degree in Social Work/Clinical Counseling from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work/Counselor Education required.

2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) preferred, or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor by exception. Valid Driver's license required.

3. Experience: Two years of relevant experience in a health or mental health setting preferred.

5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:Knowledge of community resources and agencies.
