The Access Control Specialist (ACS) supports the security and integrity of a controlled facility or construction project by ensuring that only authorized personnel, vehicles, and materials enter designated areas. The ACS is responsible for managing the access control point, conducting credential checks, and enforcing site security procedures in accordance with the Construction Security Plan (CSP) or related security protocols.

This role involves direct interaction with personnel, contractors, visitors, and delivery teams, requiring professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to established security standards. The ACS will support both day and night shift operations and must maintain constant situational awareness, monitoring activity within the access control zone and conducting routine patrols to identify potential security issues. The ACS must promptly report all incidents and concerns through established escalation channels and contribute to a secure, safe operating environment. Key Duties
* Manage access control operations by verifying credentials, badges, and required documentation before granting entry to controlled areas.
* Screen personnel, vehicles, equipment, and materials entering the site in accordance with CSP or established security protocols.
* Conduct regular patrols of the controlled area, perimeter boundaries, and surrounding zones to identify security violations or unsafe conditions.
* Monitor activity around the access control point, ensuring compliance with security policies and maintaining awareness of environmental and personnel movements.
* Promptly report security incidents, irregularities, or suspicious behavior following the prescribed escalation and communication procedures.
* Maintain accurate logs and records of daily access activities, visitor entries, incidents, and any accessrelated discrepancies.
* Support coordination with security supervisors, construction personnel, and site management to ensure consistent enforcement of all security requirements.
* Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to all safety and security standards while interacting with diverse personnel.
