Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring completion of Sampling Regulation and Quality checks with correct judgement by teaching technicians the requirements of the processes. Managing systems/procedures/documents, utilizing results to improve outflow and presenting the status. Supporting & managing technician while handling critical conversations, managing schedules including PTO and performing yearly evaluations.

Key Accountabilities



  • Lead procedure and document creation for sampling technicians. Identify necessary updates from drawings/specifications and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Manage and support direct reports to ensure targets are met on time within the group
  • Create and update databases to track data based on current business needs, direct report feedback and continuous improvement activity.
  • Summarize sampling activity status and present information to management to declare event readiness/completion. Create improvement / recovery plan for any gap items.
  • Coordinate root cause investigation and containment for triggered problem items
  • Lead Internal/External audit activity and relevant meetings from sampling viewpoint to represent team in a professional manner



Qualifications, Experience and Skills



  • Bachelor/Associate/Technical degree in automotive or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in Technical role based on education
  • Proficient in Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to extract drawing/specification information.
  • Communication skills for presenting and ability to train new associates
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environment and processes



Workstyle



  • Flexibility in work hours and approximately 1-Hour OT per day
  • Weekend work (Including shutdown) and production support as needed/scheduled
  • Daily job function variability and environment (Indoor Lab/Production Line & Outdoor)
