Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in Merritt Island, FL, Interested?

Here's what you'll do:

  • The Project Manager performs a variety of project management functions related to product development including coordinating cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to keep projects on schedule and bring them to a successful close.
  • The Project Manager leads multiple projects across departments from start to completion working directly with appropriate business leaders to understand the concept, scope, objectives, and priorities across the project spectrum.
  • Defining project scope, goals, deliverables, full scale plans, and resources;
  • Determining appropriate lead times, proposed release dates, and staffing requirements;
  • Providing direction and support to project team;
  • Coordinating the schedule of deliverables from Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance or other relevant departments;
  • Creating and maintaining detailed project timelines to ensure that all key tasks and milestones are completed as scheduled; and,
  • Documenting project evaluations and assessment of results
  • The Project Manager ensures that all required project documentation is accurate, up to date, and completed in a timely manner;
  • Changes to schedules are investigated, verified, and communicated to the project team as needed; and, project records are archived in accordance to company procedures.
  • The position maintains BOM and routers in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains; ensuring the data is scrubbed for errors and needed corrections.
  • . The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring databases/spreadsheets are utilized to track and summarize information on active and in queue projects.
  • This data may be used in Product Management functions for release planning and status (i.e. New Product Introduction (NPI) Pipeline), procurement planning based upon proposed BOMs (i.e. NPI Procurement Report) or for other planning purposes.
  • The Project Manager monitors and reports on the project budget and schedule performance, and initiates measures to mitigate any budget overruns or schedule slippage.
  • He/she provides reporting to the executive staff illustrating the progress of projects and associated barriers to success.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for employee relations with assigned staff. He/she manages this activity through effective communications, staff meetings, coaching and by providing feedback to staff, both formal and informal, that is geared toward professional growth and performance improvement.
  • He/she uses positive management techniques to direct staff.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • The environment for this position is an open office that is clean and comfortable. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he/she is free to move about at will.

Pay : $35 - 40.00 /Hr

Hours: 40 Hours /week

Length: Temporary (3 months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a project coordinator or project manager role
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial engineering, or operations management in a manufacturing environment;
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Microsoft Office programs and previous exposure to MRP / ERP / SAP operations databases
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
  • PMP certification.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills; demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties under tight time constraints.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently and is flexible during times of change.
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, and write reports and technical correspondence.
  • Strong process orientation: Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents and technical procedures.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • The incumbent in this position must be able to: read and interpret documents or instruments, perform highly detailed work, assist or guide problem solving, prepare highly detailed written communication,
  • Perform analytical reasoning, withstand stress, handle multiple, concurrent tasks and constant interruptions in an organized and efficient manner.

  • This position may be to operate any or all of the following: telephone, cell telephone, general office equipment including copy and fax machines, calculator, computer and related printers.
  • He/she must be able to sit for prolonged periods and non-traditional work hours may be on some projects.
