As a Site Coordinator for the Cape Ann YMCA, you will play a key role in ensuring the care, safety, and well-being of elementary-aged children through on-site supervision, staff management, and effective, consistent communication-all while overseeing a schedule filled with engaging activities. This position is part of a growing team supporting schools in the Gloucester and Rockport areas.

In this role, you'll provide supportive coaching and guidance to staff and students, ensure compliance with licensed childcare standards, handle administrative duties, maintain the site and program resources, and build strong relationships with parents and school district partners. This position is intended to cover an employee leave for the remainder of the school year, with opportunities to join the Summer Camp team when the school year ends.

To thrive in this position, you have a strong sense of empathy and proven leadership skills. You have experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds, familiarity with summer camp programming, and local state licensing regulations for childcare programs. You communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. You can work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

Experience as a Site Coordinator provides valuable skills working directly with youth and in a supervisory capacity that can lead to growth in a variety of fields.



  • Must be at least 20 years old
  • Associates or bachelors degree preferred
  • Must meet EEC qualifications of a Site Coordinator and have a minimum of 1 year of previous experience working with school-aged children in a program setting
  • Wage is based on experience and site placement
