Staff Research Associate Bioengineering Full Time 82226BR Job Summary The Ahituv lab seeks an entry-level Staff Research Associate I (SRA I) to support a laboratory that focuses on understanding the role of regulatory sequences in biology and disease. In this position, he/she will be an integral member of a research team that investigates gene regulatory elements and their relationship to human diversity and disease. The responsibilities include assisting lab members with the maintenance of mouse lines and molecular biology related experiments. This includes monitoring and breeding the mouse, genotyping and carrying out various molecular biology experiments to characterize them. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $26.00 - $31.04 (Hourly Rate). Its faculty perform high-quality basic, translational and clinical research in the fields of drug development, pharmacogenomics, therapeutic engineering and computational biology.
