Endoscopy - Rock Island, IL RN Diagnostics Full Time - 0.8 FTE Shift:
- 4, 8-hour shifts
- Call 1 night/week + every 4th weekend

Responsibilities
About the Endoscopy Unit:
- The unit features advanced imaging and monitoring technology, staffed by specialized providers, nurses, and techs who ensure patient safety, comfort, and precise outcomes.
- The team also manages food bolus cases and various other procedures, typically performed in Endo, the OR, or ICU.
Duties:
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments to evaluate the patient's medical history, vital signs, and any potential risk factors. Prepare patients for their endoscopy procedures, ensuring they understand pre-procedure instructions and addressing any question or concerns.
- Monitor patients in the recovery area following their endoscopy procedures, assessing for any adverse reactions or complications. Provide post-discharge instructions and education, ensuring patients understand medication guidelines, activity restrictions, and follow-up care.
- Assist in the preformance of procedures like colonoscopies, bronchoscopies, EGDs, and ERCPs using flexible, camera-equipped instruments to diagnose and treat conditions in internal cavities and organs.
Qualifications
Education:
- Diploma from an RN program.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
- Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS
- ACLS, Procedural Sedation Class, and Basic Rhythm Interpretation completed within the first 3 months of hiring.
