Description Leidos Defense Systems has an IMMEDIATE opening for a talentedElectro-Mechanical Technician for the Product Integration Sectionto lead a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, we provide responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. We are seeking an experienced individual to work closely with a team of engineers and customers to design and build hardware to meet unique technical requirements. Selected candidate will bring a diverse set of skills and an aptitude for solving complex problems. You will interpret drawings and use critical thinking to not only build and fabricate production and prototype hardware, as well as test and deploy the hardware. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or a GED and 5+ years of applicable experience. Individual must also have an interest in fabrication of hardware, be mechanically inclined, and demonstrate a good work ethic and responsibility. This position requires good communication skills, working well on a team with diverse skillsets, working in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to take on a variety of duties to help the team be successful. Must have experience in the following areas:
Candidate must be a resident of North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville-North Alabama area. Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
