Job Overview

Responsible for analyzing contract financial performance. Evaluates and compares actual versus expected payment and identifies payment errors. Produces detailed reports regarding revenue variances for review and follow up. Works closely with hospital PFS and managed care departments to increase collections and enhance revenue cycle process. Accurately tracks and maintains computerized collection of relevant data.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, education or management information systems preferred. Applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. Healthcare experience, Epic or Microsoft Office Certification(s) preferred

Contacts: a -Primarily within immediate work area; involves obtaining or providing information with little explanation or interpretation.
Financial Accountability: a -Responsible for personal use of resources, supplies and materials, tracking personal spending and submitting accurate expense reports.

Ability to interpret insurance carrier contract payment language as well as EOB's. - In depth knowledge of Commercial Managed care and state Medicaid hospital
reimbursement methodologies. - Proven ability to extract and analyze hospital data. Knowledge of ICD-9, HCPCS and revenue coding. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Access

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $57,184.55 to $85,776.82
Hourly Salary Range: $27.49 to $41.24
