Facilities Manager

Individual will oversee and manage all space within the Pitt Business. Responsibilities include managing capital projects and space; coordinating office moves; purchasing furniture/equipment; developing, monitoring and reconciling capital/facilities budget; managing key distribution; telephone administration and property accounting records; assigning and maintaining telephones, lockers, and mailboxes. Bachelor's degree and/or extensive experience in the trades or building management necessary; excellent communication, organizational problem solving, and time-management skills required; ability to understand and interpret construction documents; must be detail oriented and computer literate; knowledge of building codes and understanding of building operations systems necessary.

Position is on-campus, however working hybrid will be accommodated on occasion.


Job Summary

Manages overall building and facility operations and maintenance and leads team. Prepares budgets and performs related financial duties. Maintains, negotiates, and ensures adherence to contracts. Ensures safety and operational security of buildings and maintains associated records.


Essential Functions

Oversee and manage all space for the Katz School of Business.


Physical Effort

Considerable daily walking to inspect buildings/areas.
