Rutgers School of Nursing invites applications for an inspiring and collaborative leader to serve as Director of our Family Nurse Practitioner Program. In this hybrid academic/administrative role, the successful candidate will oversee the direction and management of the program, work collaboratively with colleagues from nursing and other professions, role model high standards of clinical practice, teaching excellence, and scholarship, and actively participate in professional organizations and School of Nursing faculty governance. The position is primarily in the graduate program but the candidate may teach across programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Family Nurse Practitioner Program Director will:
* Provide the vision for, and academic leadership of, the Family Nurse Practitioner Program
* Facilitate student recruitment, advisement, clinical placement, progression, and remediation
* Lead, plan, implement, revise, and evaluate curricula to meet and exceed accreditation standards of the
CCNE
* Maintain all program accreditation documents including reports
* Perform formative and summative student and program outcome evaluation including certification pass rates
* Develop clinical partnerships, evaluate clinical sites/preceptors, and secure and provide oversight for the student clinical placement process
* Envision and teach didactic and clinical courses
* Advise and chair student
DNP projects
* Recruit and mentor new faculty
* Maintain an active clinical practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (may be part of teaching workload) |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Doctoral degree (DNP, PhD, EdD, or other)
- Current clinical practice experience across the lifespan
- Teaching experience in higher education and a commitment to innovative teaching and assessment methods
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner Program Director and/or in graduate nursing program accreditation
- Experience in academic administration/leadership
- Experience in OSCE and simulation
- Scholarship (e.g., publications, national presentations, grant funding) and active participation in community and/or professional organizations
