Our Cottage Center for Advanced Imaging (CCAI) features one of the most sophisticated imaging technology suites between Los Angeles and San Francisco, providing a concierge-level experience for patients. Services we offer include computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and PET (CT), fluoroscopy, 3D and digital mammography, bone densitometry, and interventional radiology.

Position Overview:

As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will work under indirect supervision by a Neurodiagnostic Tech III (IONM) and/or a physician/neurologist to perform neurophysiologic monitoring, including standard and advanced neurophysiologic procedures (EEG, EMG, NCV, and EP) on outpatient and inpatient populations, including long-term video monitoring of EEG. For other neurophysiologic monitoring modalities, you will work under direct personal supervision by a Neurodiagnostic Tech II or III (IONM) or a physician/neurologist.

Qualifications

Education



  • Minimum: Documented completion of an Electroneurodiagnostic Program
  • Preferred: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program


Certifications, Licenses, Registrations



  • Minimum: Registry in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.), evoked potentials (R. EP T.), and/or nerve conduction studies (R. NCS T.), or a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience with completion of one or more registries within six months of hire. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred: Documented completion of a minimum of 25 cases in IONM procedures.


Technical Requirements



  • Minimum: Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities in neurophysiologic monitoring for which credentials are held.
  • Preferred: Ability to perform all duties in EEG and Evoked Potential monitoring procedures.
  • Experience
  • Minimum: 1 year of experience in neurophysiologic modality for which credentials are held.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience in EEG and Evoked Potential procedures, with documented completion of at least 25 IOM cases.


Skills and Abilities

Problem-solving and decision-making: Independently and cooperatively provides neurodiagnostic services, resolves equipment problems, and consults with Neurodiagnostic Tech III for support as needed.

Interpersonal and Communication: Demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and confidentiality in all interactions, portraying a commitment to patients, colleagues, and the community.

Knowledge of computer operation
