Position Description
Designs implements, and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to Identifying funding opportunities, conducting program assessments, preparing program reports, overseeing and managing program marketing and communications, managing program databases, supervising program staff, planning research activities, coordinating program events, participating in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Design, plan, and implement the medical student wellness program for the Permian Basin campus, including training and presentations in the EQi curriculum
  • Design, plan, and implement a program for 3rd-year medical student events and schedules in the Permian Basin, including, but not limited to, student social events in the community, student affairs meetings on campus, MS3 orientation, and clinical skills boot camp.
  • Build and update the MS3 clinical schedule for Permian Basin students and communicate with students and across clinical departments regarding the schedule and student requirements.
  • Credential students for all clinical rotation sites in the Permian Basin; ensuring students have all requirements completed for beginning their clinical rotations.
  • Identify housing and payment processes for students on rural rotations.
  • Process scholarships and participate on the scholarship committee.
  • Assist with test proctoring.
  • Attend regular cross-campus meetings to keep processes updated to ensure comparability across campuses.
  • Attend yearly regional and national conferences
  • Assist the Senior Director of Student Affairs with meetings and scheduling as needed.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
