Work Schedule
8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required, as necessary.

This position may be eligible for a telework schedule once onboarding into position is complete and with supervisor approval.
Primary Purpose of Position
This position supports and advises faculty, Program Coordinators, and the Department Chair in Applied Physiology, Health, & Clinical Sciences to maintain/check student records for field placements and graduation requirements/clearance; prepares and manages preceptor letters for placement agencies; compiles; builds and verifies course schedules with departmental faculty and registrar's office; schedules facilities for courses and non-academic use; performs recruitment and hiring/salary/credentialing paperwork for part-time faculty to fulfill course coverage; manages degree program admission applications; is liaison to 3 external advisory boards to Department; maintains Department website and other media for academic programs; is member of Department External Communications Committee; and places orders through NinerMart and with P-card purchases when necessary to support program promotion and community outreach events. The position is also responsible for program- and unit-level record-keeping (old and new business), meeting support (minutes), and Chair scheduling (calendar).
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from high school and demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through four years of specialized office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Job Duties
This position supports the unit through program- and unit-level record-keeping (old and new business), schedule building and submission, recruitment and processing of part-time faculty, maintenance of the unit website, program- and unit-meeting support (minutes), Chair scheduling (calendar), and unit-related reservations.
Other Work Responsibilities
Contribute to the External Communications committee, place orders for equipment, supplies, and travel when necessary.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

  • Graduation from high school and demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through four years of specialized office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Associates Degree Preferred.
  • Prior office support experience and/or office managerial experience.
  • Experience with Banner system preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google apps (docs, sheets) and Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to details needed.
  • Exceptional organizational skills needed.
