Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Player Development / Business Operations position is responsible for coordinating operational logistics for the UNCW Baseball program. Schedules practices, game day activities, and assists in coordination of all team travel. Performs administrative/support functions such as budget management, purchasing, and travel reconciliation. Adheres to and enforces all policies and procedures of the department and university as well as the rules and regulations of the CAA and NCAA. This position reports to the Head Coach, Baseball. This position assists the Head Coach in providing leadership for a NCAA Division I program along with the overall coaching, management, and administration of the program. The player development position manages the daily player development activity and efforts, specifically with Position players.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills along with strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess the highest level of ethical standards, recruit qualified student-athletes, and display a strong commitment to their academic success.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.


Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Master's Degree with Division I coaching experience.
  • Demonstrated success in recruitment of scholarship athletes.
  • Certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
