Position Summary

The Perioperative Services Technician is responsible for the preparation of the OR suite and equipment prior to surgeries, providing assistance to the OR staff during surgeries/procedures, and the coordination of all supplies and equipment. This position is a team member requiring a cooperative manner, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or designee. Work situations are basically routine yet require independent decision making in the execution of daily routine duties and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Internal contacts include patient care providers and laboratory staff. External contacts include physicians, patients, family members and visitors.

Requirements


  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Post high school vocational training in a related health care field preferred, such as Anesthesia Technician, CS Technician, NA, HCA, EMT, or Hospital Corpsman preferred
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Minimum two (2) years of recent experience in patient care preferred
  • Previous experience working in an operating room environment preferred
  • Previous experience troubleshooting medical equipment preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $18.46 - $27.47 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
