- We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong Navy background in My Navy HR platform who can leverage their knowledge of Navy programs and culture and expertise in project management to support the transformation and delivery of new and improved business processes and capabilities for the Navy Enterprise.
- The PM will operate as the resident expert, and help leadership create well-designed project plans to assist the client in developing innovative solutions to complex problems as it pertains to delivering enhancements to the Navy's Front Gateway and Tier 0 Self-Service site - My Navy Portal.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of process improvements in the areas of Navy HR IT Business Systems.
- Summarize and present technical and functional information in documentation or reports.
- Manage and lead cross-functional teams dedicated to supporting product owners, clients, and Navy stakeholders
- Work directly with clients and external stakeholders, ensuring cross-functional team support, coordination, planning, collaboration, and execution tasks are aligned with program and project goals.
- Have strong leadership and oversight experience to foresee needed engagement and direct tasks to the team to carry out deliverables without being asked
- Manage and lead cross-functional teams dedicated to supporting product owners, clients, and Navy stakeholders
- Summarize and present technical and functional information in documentation or reports
- Work directly with clients and external stakeholders, ensuring cross-functional team support, coordination, planning, collaboration, and execution tasks are aligned with program and project goals.
- Strong in creating and delivering impactful powerpoint presentations to senior level executives which inform direction or vision for the project.
- Manage timelines and milestones in an agile environment or within an agile team
- Act as a change agent for business processes, working directly with business partners to ensure any new processes are implemented seamlessly and provide improvements to overall program execution and delivery
- Create well-designed project plans to assist the client in developing innovative solutions to complex problems
- Empower clients through effective communication, ensuring the program achieves its goals and meets quality standards.
- Engage with clients to collect, understand, and define their IT requirements, analyze and translate those requirements into project plans and milestones, and create realistic schedules to manage and report progress.
- Leverage Agile methodologies to lead client engagement sessions in support of development planning and execution.
- Write and deliver executive leadership-level communication and briefings
Minimum Required Experience:
- Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of experience in managing Navy projects and/or possess extensive knowledge of MyNavy HR business system platforms.
- Experience in technical and project management supporting medium to large-scale DoD Information Technology (IT) projects or programs, including risk, cost, schedule, and performance
- Experience with performance management improvement in support of IT governance
- Ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across workstreams and stakeholder entities
- Nice if you have:

- Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner, or Agile Project Delivery Management (APM) Certification.
