Position Highlights:

  • Position: Advanced Practice Provider, Center for Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy (CATE)
  • Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL
  • Full-Time: 1.0 FTE
  • Hours: 40 - Four 10-hour days with a consistent scheduled day off each week. One evening per week required.
  • Call schedule: On call one night per week

What you will need:

  • License:Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) in the State of IL required;FederalDEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
  • Education:Completion of Master's level program in specialty area
  • Certification:BLS/CPR certification required
  • Experience:Prior APN experience preferred; experience in GI highly desirable

What you will do:

  • Join a collaborative team of four other Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and one interventional GI physician.
  • Responsibilities include rotating between inpatient rounding, independent patient consultations in the office with the GI attending, and supporting pre/post-procedure care in the endoscopy lab.
  • Independently and collaboratively review test results and develop patient care plans with the GI physician.
  • Receive training to preview video capsule endoscopies prior to review by the attending physician.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, establish differential diagnoses, and prescribe appropriate treatments.
  • Work autonomously as well as part of an interdisciplinary team.
