The Administrative Coordinator uses professional concepts to apply organizational policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing administrative operational issues for the Osher Center for Integrative Health (OCIH) and the Coordinating Center for the Osher Collaborative for Integrative Health. The incumbent will provide support for the Osher Center and Coordinating Center operations and programs.

Responsibilities include activities in human resources, finance, event planning, space use planning and coordination, facilities, IT, asset/resource management, safety, and development. The Administrative Coordinator analyzes and resolves operational problems of moderate scope with minimal supervision. Some evening hours will be required to support occasional meetings and Osher WISE classes.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $29.05 - $53.50 (Hourly Rate).

The Osher Collaborative for Integrative Health comprises an international group of eleven academic health Centers funded by The Bernard Osher Foundation to study, teach, and practice integrative healthcare. The Osher Collaborative amplifies the collective impact of the eleven Osher Centers on health and well-being for all. Based at UCSF, The Coordinating Center of the Osher Collaborative for Integrative Health supports our shared mission of fostering integrative health internationally by fulfilling three key functions: strengthening connections among Osher Centers for Integrative Health, enhancing the engagement of Osher Collaborative members across sites, and facilitating collaborative educational, clinical, and research initiatives. This global hub, hosted by the UCSF Osher Center, provides the infrastructure to support collaborative initiatives across all eleven Osher Centers.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Minimum 1+ year of directly relevant experience
  • Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes
  • Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and adhere to established protocols, as well as identify needs to improve or establish new protocols to improve operational effectiveness and objectives
  • Proven ability to work on several tasks simultaneously. Skilled at responding effectively to priorities and setting deadlines
