Who We Are

V3 Sports is a nonprofit located in vibrant North Minneapolis, focused on elevating our community through wellness, fitness, and education! Thanks to our amazing partners, donors, and incredible community members, we have been making waves in Minneapolis, serving over a thousand families since 2007.

Why You'll Love Working Here

Our mission at V3 Sports is to elevate our community, and one of our passions is educating our community on how to swim. Every year, an unnecessary number of deaths occur due to drowning. V3 is continuing to develop aquatic programs that help people of all ages learn how to stay afloat in the water.

The V3 Center (Phase One) is almost ready to open its doors to our community! We will provide aquatics and fitness offerings, on-site childcare and a new home for the Boys and Girls Club. Our goal is to begin the Phase Two expansion (adding a 50-meter pool, basketball courts, a track, and more) at the end of 2024 and complete it in 2027.

Wages and Benefits

V3 Sports is hiring Swim Guides to teach our new swimming curriculum. The curriculum, developed by V3 Sports, is unique and requires around 50 hours of training before new team members can deliver to participants. This includes 20 hours of classroom training, and the following 30 will be shadowed teaching. All Swim Guides will start as Swim Guide Assistants during this training period until they show the knowledge and skills required to instruct. Once the 50 hours of training is completed and V3 Sports staff is confident in your ability to instruct, Swim Guide Assistants will become Swim Guides, and move from the $17/hour training rate to a $19/hour Swim Guide rate.

During the training and onboarding period, employees will be paid $16/hourly for all training hours (onboarding, administrative requirements, etc). This includes the requirement to swim each week, two times per week for, at least 30 minutes.
