Multiple funded postdoctoral positions in Parkinson's disease are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Hong-Yuan Chu in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington D.C. We are seeking motivated candidates to combine multidisciplinary technologies to study cellular, synaptic, and circuit changes associated with Parkinson's disease using a variety of mouse models of the disease.

The postdoctoral fellows are expected to lead research projects. The candidates are expected to employ in vivo and ex vivo electrophysiology/GCaMP recordings, optogenetics, chemogenetics, and machine-learning-based animal behavioral analysis to study neural circuit bases of motor and nonmotor deficits in Parkinsonian animals. As a postdoctoral fellow, you are expected to conduct experiments, analyze, validate, and present research data, and contribute to manuscript preparation. Strong mentorship will be provided.

Qualifications. Candidates should hold PhD degree in Neuroscience, Physiology, Pharmacology, or related fields or have equivalent education and research experience. You are expected to work in a team environment and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
