The NICU includes 97 beds and cares for Level II-Level IV patients

The team in our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is dedicated to treating infants who need the highest level of care. Led by a team of more than 25 neonatologists experienced in treating the most challenging cases, our NICU has a Level IV designation from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the highest level available. This designation means that our NICU team provides the most advanced life support and monitoring technology for premature and critically ill infants.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides patient centered, specialized, evidence based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education and advocacy. Contributes to the goals of the department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida Board of Nursing and JHACH policy. Through collaborative practice with all members of the care team, is responsible for patient outcomes which meet the high quality of care provided by JHACH. The professional practice of nursing at JHACH involves the promotion of a culture of innovation and a commitment to academic growth and professional development.

Shifts: 40 hours per week Nights (7p-7a) - time split between 12-hour clinical shifts and 8-hour administrative shifts.

Who Should Apply:

* BSN from an accredited School of Nursing

* Registered Nurse (RN) Required. Florida State or Compact License required

* A minimum of three years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse in an acute care setting

* BLS certification provided by AHA

* Certification required in area of speciality within one year of hire

Salary Range: Minimum 45.04 per hour - Maximum 69.81 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
