Network Implementation Program Manager

The Network Implementation Program Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing a wide variety of projects. Oversees the engineering and construction process from conceptualization to completion including the oversight of engineers, construction supervisors, contractors, various trade workers and project managers. Effectively monitors and manages quality and completion of work and resolves issues in a timely manner. This position will be responsible for all aspects of Network Implementation related to Lumen's fiber build objectives. Accurately reports on the progress of a project and updates databases as applicable. Might have to be in the office for training and collaboration sessions periodically.

This is a Hybrid position combining work from home with occasional travel to sites or the office as needed. The office locations are Tamarac, FL or Miami, FL.

This role requires the ability to work an on-call rotation.

• End to end project management for various projects involving the relocation, maintenance, repair, and construction of ISP and OSP facilities.
• Oversee the construction process from concept to completion and ensure that the projects meet the quality, budget, and timelines for delivery.
• Build relationships, manage, and supervise engineering vendors, construction contractors, various trade workers, and project managers.
• Effective workload balancing among resources to maintain schedules.
• Effectively manage the quality and completion of work by all vendors through inspecting, identifying, and correcting any issues.
• Field interface for engineering or construction.
• Report on the progress of all projects and update key stakeholders and applicable systems.
• Creating MOPs for all maintenance activities on the fiber network.

Main Duties

• Design and engineer the network buildout according to Lumen's objectives, standards, and specifications.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of the network and networking protocols along with excellent communication skills to perform in-depth troubleshooting.
• Perform site surveys, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for network projects.
• Performs escalated network repair, executes tactical projects, and owns overall network troubleshooting.
• Manage and review the creation and receipt of engineering drawings, plans, specifications, contracts, and permits.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal and external parties including customers, vendors, contractors, regulators, and utility companies.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, policies, and procedures for the network projects.

Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunication network engineering, construction, maintenance, and repair environments.
• Possesses project management and coordination skills, as well as strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Supports the Outside Plant (OSP) fiber network by performing on-call duties, network troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and analyzes complex network issues to provide short-term and/or long-term resolution plans.
• Knowledgeable and able to work in Microsoft Office.
• Fluent on current approved products and technology.
• Must be able to drive company vehicle. (Ability to pass MVR)
• Must be able to work an on-call rotation.
• Requires occasional travel.
