Job Summary

Under the direction of the VP of Population Health, the Manager of Value-based programs will be responsible to develop and lead strategy for value-based care initiatives. Oversee the development, direction, coordination, and execution of provider incentive programs to support and drive quality performance, clinical care gap closures, clinical documentation improvement, and a digital first reporting strategy for each line of business. Ensure proper implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the program. Liaison and facilitate work across various teams, including provider network services, medical management, provider contracting, lines of business and digital services to ensure performance and objectives of the program are realized. Develop and work within the budget for the program. Strong ability to communicate and lead teams. Knowledge of Agile project management methodology a bonus.

Essential Functions
  • Manages improvement opportunities, develops action plans, and successfully implement those plans.
  • Provides guidance/recommendations/collaborate with the Population Health and Provider Network Strategy teams to ensure successful engagement of all parties in quality improvement activities related to performance programs.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on developing and running a multi-million-dollar incentive program.
  • Effectively communicates concepts and develops purposeful relationships with inter-departmental leaders and providers.
  • Directs activities of the team to reach annual performance objectives.
  • Works within the Agile Framework.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in health care administration, business administration, accounting, finance, clinical or health and human services
  • 3 years of relevant experience within provider network performance, health care insurance or other health care delivery setting
  • 2 years of relevant experience directly interacting with clinical practices, including experience in analyzing and integrating financial and quality performance

Preferred

  • Master's Degree (MBA, MHA, or MHP)
  • 1 year of relevant experience leading projects, teams or initiatives
  • 3 years of relevant experience with strong contextual knowledge (managed care, provider reimbursement models, national health care trends, practice management trends)
