Job Summary

The Regional Director is a part of a management team for the district and provides overall planning, direction, evaluation and control of the food service units, achieving operational and financial goals. The Regional Director provides mentorship and motivation to District Managers, District Directors of Dining Services, and other Managers and Associates. The role is instrumental in establishing and maintaining effective customer/client rapport.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for multiple branches to ensure service delivery consistency and compliance with company standards.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and food safety regulations.

Team Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of branch managers and operational leaders to achieve business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop succession plans and talent pipelines for leadership roles within the region.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the branch P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Monitor and control inventory, labor, and other key operational costs.

Customer Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and contract retention.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify growth opportunities and expand regional services.
  • Respond promptly to client concerns, resolving issues effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
  • Five years of experience in food service management.
  • Experience in large managed volume school food service operations
  • Experience in P&L management
  • Contract-managed service experience, preferred
