Job Title: Construction Engineer

Location(s): Rolling Meadows, IL

Responsible for RF Datasheet review, Power Plant/Battery/HVAC/Generator Design Creation/Review, equipment ordering, GC management and close-out review of ground based cell site modification projects. Primary focus is managing the installation power plants, upconverters, batteries, routers, basebands, raycaps to support the upgrade of 4G/5G radios on Macro sites.

The engineer will ensure the proper expansion of network capacity and support the modification team needs to assist with ground modification projects. Responsible for creating Bill of Materials, ordering materials, managing inventory with the GC's for each project. They will have to work closely with other engineers and Network Operations during design and implementation of the site upgrades. Needs to be able to budget spend monthly based on project workload and expected cost.

Must be self-motivated and have the ability to complete tasks with little supervision. Strong Project Management and Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team Members. Associates degree or minimum of 5 yrs. equivalent telecommunications experience required.

Critical Skills:

1. Coordination of 4G and 5G tower modification projects via a general contractor

2. RF Datasheet Equipment and Construction Drawing review experience

3. Ordering and inventory management of hardware

4. Surveying shelter and tower assets to identify solutions

5. Performing site bid walks

6. -48v DC Power plant experience

7. Knowledge of basebands and router installs

8.Confident with computer programs, mainly excel/Google Sheets

1. Project management software experience (FUZE)

2. Financial tracking software

3. Excel skills including expertise with VLOOKUP functionality and/or Excel Macros

4. HVAC and Generator experience.
