STV's is currently seeking a Water Group Manager for to provide operational leadership for our Austin TX office.

As our Austin Water Group Manager you will be both a technically proficient Project Manager and a passionate coach & mentor capable to lead a highly collaborative team. In this role, you will not only have a huge impact in our local community, you will also be developing the skills of our future Engineers and Leaders who will continue to innovate within the Water & Wastewater sectors.

STV has a clear and exciting growth path for the National Water Practice. The Austin Water Group Manager and our team of highly reputable industry leaders will play a critical role to capture and manage municipal water and wastewater opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with new clients, in partnership with technical staff.

  • Work with clients as Project Manager and/or Technical Lead on projects throughout the region.

  • Identify new business opportunities and partnering opportunities, focusing on our Central Texas clients.

  • Work closely with staff across departments to implement growth and new market strategies.

  • Track, manage, and update all opportunities through a Client Relation Management (CRM) System to develop and meet annual sales and backlog targets.

  • Lead operations business in Austin TX and coordinate throughout the water group for project resourcing.

  • Collaborate on proposal team activities related to operations support throughout pursuit lifecycle, working in partnership with the Business Unit Managers, technical teams, and proposal management team.

  • Participate in local and national industry associations, seminars, trade shows, and events.

  • Provide local support in water pursuits, meeting with water/wastewater clients, and assisting with the technical development of staff and recruiting to help grow the water/wastewater team at STV.

Qualifications / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or similar) along with a Professional Engineer License in Texas.

  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in Water & Wastewater Municipal projects. History of developing and maintaining effective business relationships with clients and peers and knowledge of the water industry.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and to be a problem solver, resolving conflict and fostering a positive team culture and experience for our clients.

  • Display initiative, independent thinking, and teamwork who shares the values of STV - Integrity, Partnership & Optimism.

  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and situation as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, perform in a business environment, and maintain professionalism in all communications and demeanor.

  • This is a hybrid position (minimum 3 days week in our north Austin office).

Compensation Range:

$153,483.98 - $204,645.30
