JOB DESCRIPTION: POSITION SUMMARY Serves as the lead behavior specialist for the Regional Intervention Program (RIP), a parent-implemented, professionally-supported program for young children and their families who are experiencing challenging behaviors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Knowledge and experience in working with young behavior disordered children and their families. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education Level: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields (Early Childhood) Education, Social Work, Psychology, or other mental health related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education. Graduates of the RIP program preferred. Substitution of Experience for Education: Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school, successful completion of a Regional Intervention Program recognized by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and two years of work experience in mental health, child development, social work, or other related acceptable field. Minimum Years of Experience: Experience working with young children and their families is preferred.
