Team Leader

Job Overview:

The Team Leader assists in supervising staff and ensures a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for patients, associates, and visitors.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• High School graduate or GED
• Three years-experience

Essential Functions:

Assists department leadership with supporting department goals, objectives, policies and procedures. Assists in training, orienting, and assigning department staff. Assists in onsite day to day operations supporting department leadership with room inspections, staff performance accountability and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Maintains ongoing communication with staff to review programs, provide feedback, discuss new developments, and exchange information. Ensures that equipment used by Environmental Services is regularly cleaned and maintained in proper and safe working condition. Makes thorough onsite assessment of each assigned area of the building to determine the effectiveness of housekeeping efforts. Ensures that the building is maintained in an odor free and clean condition and takes direct, immediate action to correct observed deficiencies. Ensures a safe and sanitary environment for residents, associates, and visitors. Monitors housekeeping practices, trash and garbage collection procedures, and corrects unsatisfactory practices.

1.Responsible for maintaining a dust-free environment.

2. Readily demonstrates knowledge & accepts assignments of thoroughly cleaning bed/mattress.

3. Responsible for patient satisfaction, room cleanliness.

4. Responsible for sanitation in the department.

5. Responsible for the area assigned daily before and after shift.

6. Readily accepts all assignments in any location & performs thoroughly all tasks assigned.

7. Performs daily sanitation of all rest rooms.

8. Readily applies knowledge of cleaning steps to assure all service is thorough.

9. Readily demonstrates floor care knowledge.

10. Readily demonstrates chemical usage and proper usage.

11. Readily demonstrates cleanliness of carts and closets without daily reminders.

12. Works independently on a daily basis.

13. Ability to work with other staff members on a daily basis.

14. Ability to demonstrate the hospitals five star standards on a daily basis.

15. Ability to produce written and verbal reports to the department director as needed.

16. Responsible for the upkeep for department logs.

17. Follows daily and weekly cleaning schedule.

18. Minimizes waste and over production.

19. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

20. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment.

21. Responsible to participate in council meetings as designated by the department director.

22. Responsible to attend other department meetings as requested by the director

23. Responsible to assist in the setting up and breaking down of all special functions both internal and external.

24. Required to attend all staff & Hospital meetings as scheduled.
