Team Leader responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Resource Management: Oversee short- and long-term team utilization, ensuring teams have the technical resources necessary to successfully deliver projects.
- Performance Management: Manage team performance, approving time off, timecards, expense reports, training, and other administrative functions.
- Recruitment and Retention: Support recruitment and retention efforts to hire top talent and implement processes that support staff longevity and professional growth.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities
- Leadership in Transportation Design: Provide expert guidance in traffic design and transportation planning, fostering innovation and technical excellence within project teams.
- Project Execution: Ensure timely, budget-conscious, high-quality project deliverables that meet or exceed industry standards.
- Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the Regional Transportation Group to align office resources for project commitments.
- Design Leadership: Provide guidance to staff, review engineering documents for contractual and professional compliance, and adhere to DEA's Quality Management standards.
- Process Adherence: Follow firmwide tools, processes, and policies, including project accounting, contracting, and quality requirements.
- Project Management: Oversee transportation engineering and planning projects, including the conceptual design and planning of intersection improvements, multimodal facilities, and transportation corridors.
- Deliverable Assurance: Guarantee that all project deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest professional standards.
- Resource Management: Collaborate with the Inland Northwest Market Leader to manage staff assignments, streamline workflows, and ensure the successful completion of project obligations.
- Document Review: Conduct thorough reviews of engineering documents and deliverables to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Urban and Regional Planning.
- Certification: Washington or Idaho Professional Engineer license or AICP certification for planners.
- Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in engineering or planning, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
- Expertise: Proven track record in delivering public agency/DOT projects and building transportation business.
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
