Description Leidos Mission Assurance, is seeking a talented & skilled, early career Quality Engineer, to join our Space Systems team in Huntsville, AL. This exciting opportunity will play a critical role in ensuring mechanical and electrical manufacturing and assembly integration and testing of human spaceflight life support hardware meets all requirements. Primary responsibilities will be with the Laser Air Monitoring System (LAMS) which provides life support monitoring to NASA's Orion spacecraft. Additional support will be provided to NASA's Lunar Terrain Vehicle and other aerospace and defense programs. Primary Responsibilities Candidate will perform program quality planning, analyze program quality assurance requirements, develop inspection/test procedures and process plans, finalize source inspection checklists, coordinate & review nonconformance documentation, and support root cause/corrective actions & Material Review Boards. Other key duties include reviewing AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation, working with DCMA and other government quality assurance agencies, collection and reporting of quality metrics, reviewing and approving new drawings, supporting project managers during design and manufacturing readiness reviews, and conducting supplier surveillance audits. Some travel will be required, typically no more than 10%. Basic Qualifications
