AtSilgan Containers, we manufacture metal packaging solutions for some of the most recognized brands in the U.S. OurAccounting teamis seeking a Senior Accountantto managevendor payments, metal and freight reconciliation, and month end close activities. What you'll do:

• Process and validatevendor invoices formetal shipments, freight, and outside processing, ensuring accuracy in purchase orders and receipts.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolvinginvoice discrepanciesby collaborating with vendors, Procurement, and Silgan plants.
• Coordinate payment approvalswith internal stakeholders and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Prepare and post journal entriesrelated tofreight charges, vendor rebates, and price adjustments.
• Manage vendor claims, track outstanding balances, and prepareexecutive reportson collections.
• Facilitate financial auditsby maintaining accurate AP documentation and reconciliations.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 3 or more years accounting experience.
• Advanced MS Excel and intermediate skills in MS Office.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and ERP systems.
• Ability to work in the Woodland Hills, CA office five days a week.
• Solid multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities.
• Detailed mindset with problem solving skillsto identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
• High level of professionalism and effective communication skills.
