We are currently seeking a Data Center Site Manager to join our team in Alpharetta, Georgia (US-GA), United States (US).

Data Center Site Manager

The Data Center Site Manager will be responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of the critical facility infrastructure and well as the 7x24x365 operations for the data center environment per the company's policies and procedures. The Data Center Manager will manage the local relationship with the customer and report to the Director of Hosting Operations.

The anticipated start date for this position is late Jan/early Feb 2025. The ideal candidate will be located 30 minutes or less from Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of our operations
  • Lead a team of data center professionals supporting the customer's environment
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and raised floor operations in the data center
  • Supervise the on-site management of sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work is performed according to established practices and procedures.
  • Establish and enhance a strong working relationship and engagement with our client, staff, and act as the point of contact at this site
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Oversee projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Assure compliance to all audit and state regulations
  • Manage all work activities, within specified change control/management protocol.
  • Maintain a constant state of readiness in support of the mission goal of 100% uptime
  • Assures program implementation, risk identification, and mitigation
  • Manage the administer MOPs and SOPs for all work on critical facilities/data center facility equipment

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of data center / critical facility operations and maintenance experience.
  • At least 7 years experience leading and motivating a diverse, technical workforce
  • Previous experience as a Data Center Site Manager
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, business, or related field, or equal experience instead of education, Equivalent military facilities training/certification equivalent.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities
  • Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment
  • Solid Understanding of Critical Electrical and Mechanical / HVAC equipment (UPS, Generators, Switchgears, PDU's, Cooling Systems, etc.)
  • Relevant working experience in a data center or other critical environment facility, working with operation of building cooling, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems, electrical power monitoring, branch circuit monitoring, building automation, and battery monitoring systems.
  • Experience managing the DC facilities, equipment, and events preferred
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Strong change agent
  • CDCMP or equivalent military facilities training/certification
