As the Foundry Leadperson, you will assist in overseeing and coordinating the operations of one or more Foundry departments, such as Core Making, Sand Preparation and Molding, Melting and Pouring, and Casting and Finishing. You will lead a team to meet or exceed established safety, quality, and production standards while fostering a culture of mutual respect and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this is an opportunity to take a leadership role in a dynamic Foundry environment, driving safety, quality, and productivity while contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and people.

You Will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5 to 15 associates.

  • Create and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety rules and regulations.

  • Uphold and ensure adherence to prescribed Quality standards and guidelines.

  • Meet or exceed production pace requirements while prioritizing safety and quality.

  • Train and coordinate the development of foundry associates to enhance skills and efficiency.

  • Coordinate labor and equipment utilization to achieve operational goals as directed by the Supervisor.

  • Address and escalate people or process issues promptly to maintain a productive work environment.

  • Participate in daily communication meetings to align on goals and progress.

  • Record, communicate, and archive required operational data accurately.

  • Promote and maintain routine housekeeping to uphold environmental and safety standards.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures and report any job-related injuries or illnesses immediately.

You Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.

  • 3+ years of experience in Green Sand foundry technology.

  • Experience with casting and processing of Silicon Brass parts.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate across workgroups.

  • Commitment to wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and abiding by safety rules.

  • The ability to initiate positive change.

  • Proven ability to maintain attendance and punctuality standards as established by the company.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
