We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, achievement-oriented individual to join our growing team. In this role you will work closely with local teams to execute work involving conventional types of civil engineering principals and other related activities for infrastructure projects. You will provide support for a variety of projects that may include planning, evaluation, design, and construction related activities for wastewater, water, and storm water conveyance systems. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for the environment, meeting new people, and desire to learn from seasoned professionals in a team environment. The candidate will work with local teams and be trained for specific duties which may include the following:



  • Assist in the development and preparation of sustainability focused technical documents for wastewater projects including energy profile reports, climate risk assessment and adaptation plans, sustainable material content and construction waste estimate reports, stormwater runoff reduction reports, and lifecycle carbon assessment reports.
  • Obtain Envision Certification
  • Perform calculations, prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Check performance or conformity with design plans and specifications through field inspection and reporting
  • Review contractor submittals for adherence to technical specifications.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Submittal Logs, Specification Logs, O&M logs, and other documents.
  • Format and organize information for reports.
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams under other disciplines
  • Provide basic project support such as formatting and distributing meeting notes, project filing, field site visits, and other general support of project engineers.
  • Participate in field work at client sites, assisting other team members with construction and operation & maintenance tasks.
  • Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time.
  • Adhere to Brown and Caldwell's quality assurance/quality control process.


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • BS degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills a must
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Candidate must be physically able to conduct field visits
  • including the use of personal protective equipment


Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $58,000.00 - $79,000.00

Location B: $64,000.00 - $87,000.00

Location C: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00
