Job Function Summary

Responsible for enterprise risk management, including safety, reliability, financial, customer satisfaction, and other forms of business risk. Identifies and analyzes potential sources of loss to minimize risk. Consults on risks to company business strategy. Collaborating with network of business partners facilitates development and implementation of controls and cost-effective approaches to minimize the organization's risks. Assesses and communicates information regarding business risks with functions across the organization as a senior member of the Enterprise Risk Management team. May be asked to provide briefings to executives and to prepare reports that will be shared with Audit and Risk Committee of the board of directors.

This position will play a significant role in establishing, shaping, and enhancing the ERM program and risk culture. The successful candidate will help the company to assess and analyze a wide range of risks utilizing a structured and systematic risk management framework through regular interactions with subject matter experts and senior leaders throughout the company.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) roles is evolving and expanding. ERM plays a very important role in the rapidly changing electric industry in general, and in PGE as an industry lead in particular. The ERM Principal Analyst plays a significant role helping the company to identify and manage risks and opportunities that are ahead of PGE in this dynamic and changing environment. The role of ERM is also expanding to assist internal clients to better access and analyze operational risk and further integrate risk in corporate's strategy, goals, and financial planning activities and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Assessment Leveraging the analysis of others as well as emergent conditions and market factors, proactively identifies broad risks to the company and leads the development and implementation of recommended mitigation strategies; establishes and maintains department's operating plans and budgets related to specific mitigation strategies; works, leads and/or coordinates work with outside specialists and effectively leads/teaches others how to interpret and perform complex analysis and leads day-to-day activities of junior peers.

Enterprise Risk Management Develops and implements common definitions of risk for the entire organization; works with executive management to design, implement, lead and sustain an effective risk management framework and program and coordinates efforts across the organization to ensure alignment with program objectives; reports out to executive leadership and board of directors.

Risk Analysis Proactively leads analyses and report development for companywide risk analysis assessments; leads analyses, reporting and implementation of counterparty/vendor credit review and risk mitigation (e.g., guarantees, L/Cs).

Regulatory Analyses Coordinates potential risk mitigation or insurance programs with legislative and regulatory interests as the company's expert representative.

Data Management Tools Serves as an expert resource in the organization's risk management tools.

Business Partnering and Program Management Serves as a thought leader for senior leaders. Proactively anticipates needs and develops, communicates and coordinates risk management solutions to meet key business objectives. Manages relationships with strategic internal clients and acts as their business partner and consultant while typically leveraging various risk management teams to deliver solutions.

Education/Experience/Certifications

Education Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or other related field or equivalent experience

Experience Typically ten or more years in related field

Certifications, Licenses and Training Advanced degree or specialized certifications in relevant fields preferred

Compensation Range:

$116,410.00 - $216,190.00

Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
