Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Education Outreach Manager at UL Research Institutes Chemical Insight Research Institute (CIRI) in our Marietta, GA facilities.

The Education Outreach Manager plans, develops and implements educational materials, tools and resources for Chemical Insights Research Institute, a UL Research Institute, and stakeholder use. The Education Outreach Manager works closely with stakeholders and colleagues to establish goals and objective and development opportunities for educational collateral to further advance CIRI's research and impact mission.

What you'll learn and achieve:

As the Education Outreach Manager, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

  • Supports the development and implementation of the strategic plan for educational outreach activities that align with CIRI's research on sources of environmental pollution and their impact on human health.

  • Serves as a point of contact for educational outreach projects; works with stakeholders, agencies, industry partners in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of educational materials and outreach activities.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, industry partners, and agencies.

  • Build educational resources in partnership with internal researchers, communication staff and external stakeholders.

  • Distribute program materials to stakeholders and community groups and lead efforts for awareness.

  • Resolve project issues in coordination with project staff, stakeholders, and agencies.

  • Determine appropriate sources and methods for the accumulation of research related to assignments.

  • Represents the organization at various events; promotes new and existing programs.

  • Oversees the development and production of education content and outreach materials (brochures, pamphlets, presentations, etc.)

  • Develops and implements objectives as well as short- and long-range planning for education outreach activities.

  • Contribute to the development of quarterly reports to continue development of internal project reports.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, health sciences, communications, public health or equivalent combination or education and experience.

  • Training or experience in instructional design.

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.

  • Experience in education development processes.

  • Experience or knowledge in consumer and occupational health or related field, preferred.
