Summary:
The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.

The summer intern will be embedded with a team made up of project managers, interior designers, facility planners/move coordinator and cost estimators that oversee the design and construction of all facilities at Maine Health. Our team is a cohesive collaborative group of seasoned professionals that are eager to share their expertise and mentor less experienced staff.

An intern may expect to visit construction sites to observe construction activities. Our work involves state-of-the-art projects including imaging, advanced OR environments, renovations of Emergency departments and an oncology center. Most of our projects are occupied renovations. Work will be in a team environment - involving weekly team huddles, attendance at project meetings and assisting team members in specific project tasks to advance the progression of the overall projects.

Preference will be given to undergraduate students pursuing project management, architectural and interior design, construction management or related field.

1. Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate's Degree program, Bachelor's Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred.
