The role is to be part of the GDOT Professional Services delivery team, supporting project execution primarily within the region, and globally as required. Initially, the role will be to work under the guidance and direct of the project technical lead, with a view to developing the required experience and skill to take on the technical lead role within 1 to 2 years Your Impact
  • Assist the project lead in executing GDOT projects including assessment, kick-off, design, modelling, configuration, installation, commissioning and post-audit.
  • Perform/participate in GDOT studies, proof of concepts/trial evaluation and provide user training
  • Work within cross function teams including Customer Support and R&D to resolve GDOT issues.
  • Support Sales and Marketing to grow GDOT licenses and services business
  • Support and train junior personnel
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or similar relevant experience
  • 5 plus years of relevant experience
  • Petroleum industry experience
  • Some exposure in Advanced Process Control (APC) is helpful with exposure to one or more of the following areas: refinery process operations, refinery planning, refinery scheduling, or optimization technologies will be an advantage for this role.
  • Understand the concepts of multi-variable identification and be able to proficiently execute data analysis for larger scope problems
  • Exposure to plant systems (e.g. data historians) and limited programming experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Fast learner with a desire/motivation to learn cutting-edge new technologies.
  • A team player with the ability to relate to customers and maintain good working relationship
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively within a team
  • Able to demonstrate strong communication skills within a customer facing environment
  • Proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent English verbal and writing skills
  • Working knowledge of any other language will be plus but not required.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively (up to 30% of the time, on average, but not on a continuous basis)
