Mobile Diesel Technician Job Overview The Diesel Maintenance Tech (Mobile/B)is responsible for repairing and maintaining all medium to heavy duty customer vehicles and equipment which includes routinely performing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance to ensure efficient vehicle operations. The Diesel Maintenance Tech (Mobile/B) will operate a company owned service vehicle to visit customers and conduct service repairs onsite. Service repairs may include but are not limited to equipment such as forklifts, trailers and tractors. Diesel Maintenance Techs (Mobile/B) will also be responsible for making road calls as needed. The duties for the Diesel Maintenance Tech (Mobile/B) will be performed independently, with little to no supervision. Diesel Maintenance Tech (Mobile/B) will also be responsible for mentoring Diesel Maintenance Techs (C), as needed. *Must be equipped with personal toolbox.* Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong knowledge and understanding of medium to heavy duty diesel truck engines, possess diagnostic /troubleshooting skills, an understanding of how internal combustion gas and diesel engines work, as well as able to identify main components.Must be a self starter,possess computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite & other internal systems), strong communication and problem-solving skills. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old Class A/B License preferred for some positions DOT Brake/Annual Inspection certification High school diploma or equivalency experience required Clean driving record Coca-Cola Consolidatedis the nation's largest Coca-Cola bottler. Our diesel/fleet mechanics service external customers as well as Coca-Cola Consolidated fleet equipment. Technicians are employed by Coca Cola Consolidated, Inc and managed by Red Classic Transit, LLC.
