Talgo, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our Milwaukee, WI team! The Maintenance Facility Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and systems. This position involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks to guarantee the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Conduct regular inspections of facility equipment and systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including HVAC systems, mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing malfunctions and take appropriate corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, or equipment failures, ensuring minimal disruption to facility operations.
  • Operate and maintain various tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate and execute facility improvement projects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  • Assist in the identification and procurement of necessary supplies and materials for maintenance activities.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, technological advancements, and relevant regulations to enhance the efficiency of maintenance operations.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in maintenance-related fields is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a facility or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and extended periods of standing or kneeling.


Mathematical Skills:



  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to meet difficult deadlines.


Physical Demands:



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
