Description Scope of Work: Repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines Primary Job Responsibilities: Assist the service manager with supervisory duties Must be able to work alone on engine/compressor packages or engine/generator packages and be professional on their assignments Understands engine electric controls Understands engine governing systems including electronic controls Can perform all work associated with gas compressor revamp Stay informed of the latest changes in the various models of equipment Ensure that all jobs are completed and that the work was done in a proficient and safe manner Promote good welfare among the company and its' divisions Perform other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications: Must have 4 year(s) previous experience Must have G.E.D. High School Diploma, prefer applied certification (s) job description Must meet all of the qualifications of a Service Tech Class A Must have advance troubleshooting skills Certification in WED VHP technology and VGF technology preferred Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's) Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectives Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company Must conform to company policies and procedures set forth by the company Must have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance carrier standard if driving company vehicle Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirement as outlined by the Department of Transportation Must be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook) Must be dependable and able to work independently Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to bend and twist several times a day Must have the ability to work flexible hours and days Must maintain good client relations Must maintain a professional appearance Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment Must have the ability to travel and stay overnight Must have the ability to supervise and motivate others Must have the ability to effectively operate basic shop equipment Must have the ability to obtain advanced manufacture certifications Must protect the company assets and interests Working Conditions: Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Weekend hours as necessary Outside work as required Customers locations as required Qualifications Behaviors Detail Oriented - Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Functional Expert - Considered a thought leader on a subject Team Player - Works well as a member of a group Motivations Work-Life Balance - Inspired to perform well by having ample time to pursue work and interests outside of work Self-Starter - Inspired to perform without outside help Growth Opportunities - Inspired to perform well by the chance to take on more responsibility Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
