THE JOB:

This position is responsible for assisting in the analysis and reporting of Suspicious Activity, ensuring adherence to MGM Resorts policies, best practices, and anti-money laundering (AML) internal controls. The role also involves conducting risk-based analyses to support compliance efforts.

THE STARTING RATE:

  • $16.50/hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Assist the Compliance Manager in the development of audit checklists, programs and/or guidelines and in identifying efficiencies to improve compliance processes.

  • Perform random reviews of completed audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures, regulations and the Title 31 audit checklist.

  • Assist the Compliance Manager with concluding, reporting, and presenting audit weaknesses to operational departments, assist with facilitating and tracking required Title 31 training, and assist with all aspects of Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) including the analysis of risk related transactions, compile suspicious activity documentation, research and document related information from Lexis Nexis and the internet into the "Know Your Customer" (KYC) spreadsheets, present suspicious activity to the Compliance Committee.

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of staff in the Compliance Department, with operational departments, and internal/external auditors.

  • Assist the Compliance Manager in compiling and distributing information requested by Corporate Compliance.

  • Responsible for document retention of Title 31 related materials.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

  • 1+ years of prior casino audit experience.

  • Solution driven with an ability to understand complex issues, operational challenges and embrace change.

  • Must function as a strong team player and possess the ability to interact with different personalities at all levels.
