Lead Audiovisual Systems Integration Technician Location: Woodbridge, VA - Travel required (60-80% CONUS & OCONUS) Salary: Starting at $80,000/year Schedule: Full-time, salaried Position Summary: Futron Incorporated is hiring a Lead Audiovisual (AV) Systems Integration Technician to lead the installation, configuration, and testing of advanced AV systems in secure government and commercial environments. This position requires extensive hands-on experience with audiovisual technologies and integration practices. The LSIT is responsible for on-site team oversight, technical execution, and ensuring every system meets high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead all on-site AV integration activities and supervise field teams Install and configure AV hardware/software: DSPs, AVoIP, video walls, projection systems, control systems, etc. Load and validate control system code (e.g., Crestron, AMX) Perform system testing, tuning, and final documentation updates Conduct technical walkthroughs and AV needs analysis with clients Ensure compliance with AV industry best practices and project requirements Evaluate subcontractor performance and participate in post-project reviews Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on experience in Audiovisual systems integration (strict requirement) Proven expertise in AV system design, installation, and troubleshooting Familiarity with AV technologies: LED walls, DSPs, AVoIP, projection, conferencing, control systems Ability to read and interpret AV schematics, drawings, and technical documentation Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required: Avixa CTS-I, AMX HCCA, Biamp Tesira, QSC Q-SYS Level 1 Required: COMPTIA Security+ Preferred: COMPTIA Network+, A+, additional Crestron/AMX certifications Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizenship required Active or eligible for Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred) Ability to pass a federal background investigation Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position starting at $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
