Creighton University in Omaha, NE is seeking to hire a full-time Assistant Director of Analytics and Institutional Research. Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of institutional research activities and data requests. Will conduct advanced data analysis and analytics projects supporting the university mission and strategic goals. In this role you will support the Director of Analytics and Institutional Research with the university-wide data governance initiative, particularly related to the implementation of data governance. Key Responsibilities
- Data Request Coordination - track and coordinate data requests from various departments within the institution; ensure timely and accurate delivery of requested data, collaborating with relevant stakeholders; complete data requests when needed; track metrics on the data request process, including the annual survey and the monthly update of the dashboard; identify opportunities to improve the process.
- Data Governance Implementation - supports the director in the establishment and maintenance of effective data governance practices; leads the data quality and standardization committee to ensure effective implementation of data governance policies and processes (including the role out and management of Data Cookbook with data stewards); facilitates data literacy training programming.
- External Reporting Coordination - coordinates the preparation and submission of external reports to regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, and other relevant entities; works with SBIAs to ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency for all reporting.
- Oversight of Internship Program - recruits, hires and onboards new interns each year allowing current students to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world application; leads, mentors, and develops interns to prepare them for a career in data analytics or data science.
- Survey Administration and Consultation - oversees the administration of institutional surveys to gather valuable feedback and data from students, faculty, staff, and alumni, including registration, marketing/communication, and customization; provide consultation on quantitative and qualitative research design and statistical analyses methodologies.
- Data Analysis and Predictive Analysis - conduct in-depth data analysis to provide insights into trends, student outcomes, and other key performance indicators; utilize predictive analytics to forecast future trends and support data-driven decision-making; Present findings to various campus stakeholders based on their needs.
- Representation and Communication - represent the Analytics and Institutional Research department in institutional committees and meetings; provide a technical perspective on data quality-related matters.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, data analytics/science). Terminal Degree in a relevant field (e.g., PhD, EdD, JD) preferred.
- 3+ years of working experience in data analysis, research methodologies, and survey design, with the ability to apply techniques using SPSS, Python, R, or other data analysis tools required.
- Working experience with intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and extracting data from student information systems utilizing SQL preferred.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, especially in translating data for various audiences.
- Experience in in Institutional Research and/or Higher Education strongly preferred.
