Machine Cleaner- Weekend Shift

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for Machine Cleaners to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA at our 900 High St facility on Weekend Shift.

As a Machine Cleaner this candidate will be responsible to participate in all sanitation activities in order to maintain, clean, and safeguard equipment and facilities used for the processing and packaging of food products. This candidate will also be responsible to remove all waste to proper disposal units. This position works Friday-Monday 9:00AM - 7:00 PM.

Essential Functions

• Participate in all packaging room sanitation activities in order to maintain, clean, and safeguard equipment and facilities.
• Possess willingness and flexibility to move within other Campus production facilities to clean all areas of respective packaging rooms (as required).
• Demonstrate working knowledge, and is approved by Sanitation Leadership, in the following areas:
  
  
  
  • Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Proper chemical disbursement procedures.
  • Ability to safely work with, and around, chemicals (both mild and harsh).
  • Operation of High Reach and Forklift and maintains current license.
  • Lift 50 lbs.
  • Perform work on elevated surfaces and is comfortable with heights.
  • Certification to operate any and all can washers across Campus production facilities.
  
  
  
  
• Use air wands, high pressure rinse, cleaning chemicals, hand cleaning, squeegees, and motorized sweepers to maintain all surfaces and equipment.
• Remove all waste and dispose in the appropriate container.
• Return all tables, mats, hoses, and cleaning equipment to proper position.
• Follow standard work instructions.
• Verify work and use checklists as guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Requires general knowledge of procedures for cleaning food handling equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Care and diligence in working with very expensive equipment with due attentiveness to detail.
• Able to work with basic chemicals, water, and water hoses.
• Able to wear all required PPE.
