How you'll make a difference?

This Director, Talent Management role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our global organization by developing talent programs that are central to building a strong Talent Management strategy. This leader will play a key role in shaping our future by driving processes that accelerate efforts to attract, develop, retain and reward talent and support strategies that promote an environment where employees are enabled to do their best work. We are looking for a hands-on leader who has both strategic foresight and operational expertise to drive Orthofix's talent agenda forward. This role will be pivotal in establishing new talent processes across the enterprise, ensuring that our strategies align with our core Values.

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties and tasks as needed and assigned.

  • Talent Strategies: Support organizational wide talent strategies that help identify and accelerate development for talent that support current and future organizational capabilities that scale the organization.

  • Leadership Development: Lead, design and deliver programs to identify top talent across Orthofix and ensure they have robust development plans to support their professional and career objectives. Ensure accurate and robust development discussions. Track and monitor development commitments.

  • Performance Management: Lead the performance management program (goal setting, check-in, feedback, calibrations, year-end assessments and promotions) and development practices which includes redesigning a best-in-class approach aligned with enterprise culture transformation objectives.

  • Culture-Centric Strategy Development: Develop and implement a talent management strategy that serves as the foundation for building and nurturing our company culture. Ensure that talent processes, programs, and initiatives reinforce our organizational values, mission, and vision.

  • Employee Engagement Program: Design and launch a new, comprehensive employee engagement program aimed at fostering a connected, motivated, and high-performing workforce. Partner with leadership and HR teams to implement ongoing initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, communication, and involvement.

  • Change Management: Be the change agent that is planful and collaborative in leading and delivering on key initiatives that will both preserve and enhance our organization's culture through its vision, mission and values. Partner with key leader to drive and implement effective change leadership and communication practices.

  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrate effective project management skills by leading and coordinating talent initiatives, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations to ensure the successful delivery of talent development programs and strategic goals.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Foster a collaborative mindset, working effectively with cross-functional teams to drive talent management strategies and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

What skills and experience will you need?

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.

  • Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in talent management, HR Business Partnering, or related fields.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

  • Proven Track Record: A strong history of developing and implementing talent programs that positively impact organizational culture, employee engagement, and business performance.

  • Expertise: Extensive knowledge of talent management processes, including performance management, leadership development and employee engagement.

  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Passion for Culture: A deep commitment to cultivating a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture that aligns with our values and supports employee success.

What qualifications are preferred?

The education, knowledge, skills and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above.

Education/Certifications:

  • Master's Degree preferred

    The anticipated salary for this position for an employeewho is located in Californiais$170,000to$210,000per year, plus bonus, based on performance, and benefits. The finalpayoffered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc. The Company is a multi-state employer and thispayscale may not reflect thepayscale for an employee who works in other states or locations.
